ToTal Sunday School Community Project
Treats for Troops 2006
Volunteers worked diligently on home-made Purim Cards, and prepared Shalach Manos packages to be shipped to Jewish troops overseas in time for the holiday of Purim.

Here is a letter from a soldier in Iraq after receiving the Treats-for-Troops Purim Shalach Manos:
22 March, 2006
Dear ToTal Sunday School, I would like to thank you very much for the Purim cards and care package I received last week at the Jewish chapel services. I have been stationed in Iraq for only a week, and it was a most welcome gift to start my deployment. I live in Buffalo, New York. Again, Thanks, Commander Mark Bellis, US Navy Seabees
Ten year old Mia Spector, received the following letter from a grateful Jewish soldier:
Dear Mia, Thank you for your beautiful card! Your thoughtfulness and consideration mean so much to me and the Jewish marines here a Camp Fallujah. Thank you for remembering us here – little bits of home help to remind us who we are fighting for. We are anxious to see our families, loved ones, and country again. And the support we have received from you and the Jewish community means worlds to us. Thank you again for your kindness. Shabbat Shalom. Captain Joshua Mayoral, United States Marine Corps
